Serene Gardens is a landscaping and maintenance company that was created in 2011 by Andrew Sellman. Born from Andrew’s love for plants and horticulture, Serene Gardens has quickly become one of Noosa’s most renowned landscape design and construction companies, having worked on some of the area’s most prestigious properties.

Andrew spent several years in the construction industry before following his passion and studying horticulture, specialising in plant care. After working for several years in various horticulture-related fields, Andrew’s mission was to gain as much experience as possible before launching his own business. This thirst for knowledge saw him work in everything from retail & wholesale nurserys, plant production to batching of soils at landscape centres and local landscaping companies.

Even today, Andrew’s studies continue with regular trips to Japan to study the art of bonsai under world-class bonsai masters. This has led to being an accredited national teacher with multiple articles published in the international bonsai magazine ‘Bonsai Focus’.

All of this contribute to the design principles of Serene Gardens. With the use of negative space, colour, textures and flow to help give soul to their gardens.

At Serene Gardens, our aim is to bring the garden design to the forefront of any outdoor space. We will take care of all your landscape needs from design and construction of rock walls and timber retaining to planting, mulching, paving, turfing and irrigation installation and repair. Garden maintenance is also a pivotal part of serene gardens scope ,from body corporate, to residential and many of the gardens we construct .

“Our goal at Serene Gardens is to create beautiful outdoor spaces that highlight and complement their surroundings, whether that’s an architectural home or the native landscape. We hope to encourage people to make the most of their outdoor space and bring a wow factor to your garden because after all, we are living on the Sunshine Coast.
